Marine Conditions
Wave heights, primary/secondary swell, wind waves, sea surface temperature, currents, and ocean parameters for coastal and offshore areas.
Temperature & Humidity
Surface temperature, dew point, relative humidity, heat index, and thermal comfort parameters across all Australian regions.
Cloud & Precipitation
Total cloud cover, low/middle/high cloud layers, precipitation type (rain/snow), accumulation totals, and radar reflectivity.
Atmospheric Parameters
Pressure systems, 500mb height, freezing level, lifted index, air quality (PM2.5, ozone), pollen count, and UV index.
How to Use Weather Charts
The interactive weather charts provide professional-grade meteorological visualizations for Australia and surrounding regions. Select from organized categories of weather layers using the tab navigation above the map. Each layer displays forecast data from leading global weather models including ECMWF (European model), GFS (American model), and ICON (German model).
Control the forecast timeline using the animation bar at the bottom of the map. Click play to watch weather systems move across the continent, or drag the slider to jump to specific forecast hours. Most layers provide forecasts extending 10 days into the future, with hourly detail for the first few days transitioning to 3-hour or 6-hour intervals for extended outlooks.
Zoom the map to focus on your city or region, then switch between complementary layers to build a complete picture of expected conditions. For example, combine wind speed, precipitation radar, and thunderstorm probability to assess severe weather risk, or layer wave height with wind forecasts for marine planning. The color scales on the right side of the map indicate intensity for each parameter.
Comprehensive Weather Layers
Switch between dozens of weather parameters including wind, temperature, precipitation, thunderstorms, cloud cover, and specialized marine and aviation data layers.
Multi-Model Forecast Data
Visualize forecasts from leading global weather models (ECMWF, GFS, ICON) with high-resolution coverage across Australia and the surrounding oceans.
Interactive Timeline Controls
Animate forecast progression hour-by-hour or jump to specific times up to 10+ days ahead. Watch weather systems develop and track their movement across the continent.
Marine & Aviation Layers
Access professional weather data including wave heights, swell direction, wind at altitude, visibility, turbulence, and cloud levels for marine and aviation applications.
