Macgregor is located in South East Queensland, approximately 12 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD. Because the suburb is situated inland from the coast, it often experiences slightly higher daytime temperatures than coastal suburbs like Wynnum or Manly, as it lacks the immediate cooling influence of Moreton Bay breezes.

Seasonal Weather Variations

During the summer months, Macgregor often experiences heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. These storms frequently develop over the Great Dividing Range to the west and move towards the coast during the late afternoon or evening.
