While daytime temperatures remains comfortable, evening temperatures can drop significantly when dry air masses move across from the interior. This drier period typically coincides with the heightened bushfire season for the region, as the local vegetation dries out following the summer growth. Residents monitor wind changes closely during these months, as gusty westerly winds can increase the risk of fire activity in the forest and heathland areas.
