Trigg is situated on the lower west coast of Western Australia, approximately 14 kilometres north-west of the Perth central business district. Its weather is defined by the seasonal movement of the subtropical high-pressure belt. During the summer months, the area is famous for the sea breeze known locally as the Fremantle Doctor. This south-westerly wind typically arrives in the afternoon, providing relief from high temperatures but often creating choppy conditions for the local surf beach and limestone reef areas.
